Tracey Sharp is the Program Manager supporting the activities at the Center Advancing Research and Evaluation for Person-Centered Care (CARE-PC) at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and supporting and managing the activities of the New Jersey Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science (NJACTS) – KL2 Career Development Program, an NIH award supporting junior faculty pursuing careers in academic medicine, as well as an AHRQ P30 - LHS E-STaR Center grant - training future scientists and healthcare professionals to deliver higher quality, safer, and more efficient patient care through innovative data-driven methods. She is an administrative professional with over 35 years’ experience in academia, healthcare, and research, who began her career at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) in 2000. Her diverse responsibilities include a variety of activities, which includes pre and post- award grants management for a portfolio of over $8M, supervising support staff, and providing administrative support for daily operations. Her responsibilities supporting the KL2 and P30 programs include grants management issuing and managing internal RFAs; coordinating KL2 Scholars at three academic institutions, which includes schools at Rutgers, NJIT, and Princeton University; and coordinating P30 Scholars at Rutgers University as well as outside institutions; supporting curriculum development for the KL2 and P30 programs, including organizing educational seminars and social activities aimed to support collaborations among the faculty; coordinating web-site development advertising the KL2/P30 programs and representing the KL2 program at national conferences. She is a member of the American Health Information Management Association, National Council of University Research Administrators and International Association of Administrative Professionals, previously serving on their board of directors for the NJ based, Raritan Bay Chapter.Tracey is a first-generation college graduate, who earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Rutgers School of Health Professions’ Health Information Management Program.
