I believe that taking care of the person in front of you, empathetically listening and working with them to find a solution is one of the most rewarding things that I have done. Whether as an administrator or a customer service advocate, being able to patiently assist and if needed de-escalate and turn a situation around so that the customer and company benefit is a skill that I have worked to successfully acquire. While raising a family and running a business, I entered the University of Tennessee Knoxville and earned my BA in English, graduating summa cum laude. My professional experience thus far has been in the healthcare industry, and I’ve truly enjoyed compassionately assisting our patients in meeting their healthcare goals. I put my BA in English to work creating biographies for our doctors, in-office marketing, social media management, patient correspondence, and writing and editing office policies and manuals; I even wrote a small cookbook for our patients. As an administrator, I organized events, researched and procured products for the practice, and hired, trained, and managed staff. It was an office joke that I didn’t just wear a hat, it was a sombrero since I had my hands in so many things at once. Luckily, I am very organized and enjoy knowing that my dedication got my jobs done, and the business and patients improved along with my deeds.I really love nature and have volunteered with the Friends of the Smokies for years to do trail maintenance. My kids and friends call me a plant lady, and I come by that honestly as I am always looking for the next plant to grow! Recently, I embarked on an adventure to move to Campbellsville, Kentucky from my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. I’m excited to have a new chapter full of new experiences and friends.
