Duties include:• Delegating duties to staff and understanding each individual’s limitations and abilities.Maintaining a training schedule and appraisals for each staff member.Stock ordering and control, stock taking on a daily/weekly basis all range of products in the store.Delegating daily/weekly staff targets and also progressing each staff member’s individual skills.Weekly rosters determined and put in place.End of day banking, petty cash and floats all recorded daily.Any end of day queries are dealt with on that day and reconciled.Weekly training and briefing with staff on any new information on store performance, customer satisfaction and new products.Process of weekly deliveries and all documentation and sock processed appropriately.Weekly delegating certain staff to certain shifts patterns depending on the staff members strengths and abilities.Ensuring costs are kept to a minimum, controlling everything from lighting and heating to cleaning products and toiletries.Ensuring recycling is top priority in waste management.Weekly sales reviews are carried out in all A list departments, looking at and reviewing all targets and seeing if they have been met or exceeded. Actions are taken and listed to improve these areas. This process really examines thoroughly the needs and changes we need to make as a store to achieve our targets and staff productivity.Disiplinary actions are kept on record and remain on file until staff member has completed their probation period, which is monitored weekly.All staff is briefed on start of every shift on their daily targets and their tasks for the day, prior to this I would complete a walkthrough of the store at the start of my day prior to staff arriving at work.All stock levels being monitored closely and staff being aware of product availability, if a product were to be out of stock then I would collect from a sister store to ensure customer satisfaction.Merchandising.
