I worked at a fast-growing, fast-paced financial services company planning more than 40 meetings a year. I was responsible for all aspects of these events including speaker and entertainment selections. In this position, I gained perspective and insight into the client’s side that is helpful in my success today. I worked in sales at two of the top Destination Management Companies in Southern California. I was responsible for not only booking business but, also for the creative design of special events.I am active in the industry, and most recently served on the board of directors for Corporate Event Marketing Association (CEMA). CEMA is an incredible organization of Event Marketers that I highly recommend. The seven years that I have been a member have been rewarding and educational and I have met some terrific people.I am on the MPI WEC Proposal Review Task Force for speakers for the 2018 WEC, 2017 WEC and 2016 WEC. I am a former board member of the San Diego Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and continue to be involved on ad-hoc task forces. I am a native of San Diego, a graduate of San Diego State University, and I can’t imagine living anyplace else. I have an amazing and supportive husband, Joel, and two terrific step-kids. I am also an avid animal lover and adore my Chihuahua/French Bulldog rescue dog, Lola.
