Freelance Actor
CurrentCareer highlights have included working with television director Juliet May in "Blue Murder" for ITV, playing the guest lead role of Sarah Watkins in "The Archers" and playing Brenda in two national tours of "Calendar Girls", which gave me the opportunity of working alongside Lynda Bellingham, Gemma Craven, Letitia Dean, Jan Harvey and Sue Holderness, to name but a few.My favourite theatre role to date was playing the lead role of Eleanor in "Fragments of Ash" for Notional Theatre Wales: 'electrifying', intelligent theatre that asks a shocking question: "what would it take to make an ordinary British mother become a suicide bomber?""What can turn an ordinary mother into a suicide bomber" with a stimulus as hard hitting and controversial as this I was intrigued at how this would be displayed visually. The use of such a minimal set was enough as Tracey Briggs who played the part of British mother Eleanor was bold enough. Her ability to perform such raw emotion left me as well as other members of the audience with tears streaming down our faces and lumps in our throats, as we saw the full extent of just how everyday individuals lives can be affected by the sadness and atrocities that happen at war.” Carmarthen Journal My theatre work has also included playing frustrated housewife Pam in "Dogging and Fishing" opposite well-known actor John Henshaw, at the Lowry Theatre, Manchester as part of the Re-Play FestivalI was last seen working at Soho Theatre for Tamasha Theatre CompanyIf you would like to know more about my acting work please visit my Spotlight web page.
