In addition to providing overall leadership to the team, I work with businesses and community partners to create strategic alliances. These alliances are designed to remove obstacles to help people live happy, healthy lives. I also provide guidance and oversight to all of our health-related initiatives, such as Community Health Workers and Community Outreach programs. My focus was practice transformation efforts in Pennsylvania including the maintenance and building of partnerships, seeking new business opportunities, day-to-day outreach, implementation, and others. I was responsible for recruiting physicians and other healthcare provider organizations that needed assistance with health information technology (HIT) or other service line offerings. I also worked with the measures team to develop quality measures for physicians and non-physicians used for reporting of quality measures through quality programs such as the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) and Meaningful Use (MU) program.

PACT was program that was being designed for healthcare organizations to measure physician engagement, identify areas for improvement and set goals in order to effect positive change. PACT was conceptualized by the Pennsylvania Medical Society in an effort to improve collaboration and achieve better outcomes.

PMSCO Healthcare Consulting is a subsidiary of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. I was responsible for the practice management consulting team. As a team we assisted physician practices with coding and auditing, HIPAA compliance, fraud and abuse compliance, start-ups, mergers, HR functions, and any other operational issues faced in a practice setting.
