About Tracey Myers, Phd

Since my journey in science began, I have had one goal: to improve patient care. I have followed this goal through every portion of my development as a scientist, working in labs that focus on understanding and developing treatments for devastating terminal diseases. My path started with work in Alzheimer’s disease, continued through studies in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and culminated in my most recent work with the ultra-rare early childhood disease, triosephosphate isomerase deficiency. Through my studies, I have learned the ins and outs of preclinical drug development. Now, I’m interested in helping to bridge the gap between bench and bedside through work in clinical trials, so that life-altering patient care can be brought to those in need. Currently, my work is focused on oncology clinical trials. I’m excited about the prospect of advancing medicine, and I believe that I am well equipped to make an impact in this field and to work towards my aforementioned over-arching goal: to improve patient care.
