My specialist skills and expertise in both web and social media were applied organisation-wide to determine and implement innovative, responsive and accessible digital communication approaches that incorporate codesign principles. Working closely with the executive and senior management, I worked to ensure that cohealth’s digital and media communications were accurate, responsive and coordinated to maximise audience reach and engagement. I developed policy, original content and provided advice and support to the Executive Management Team and program staff to use online communications to promote cohealth services and increase engagement with their target audiences.The Digital Specialist position was a leadership position within cohealth. My primary roles in this position was to: - coordinate and manage projects aimed at protecting and promoting the cultural heritage of the Indigenous peoples of south-eastern Australia- create content creation for public information statements, public relations activities, member newsletters, advertising and marketing strategies.- provide fundraising support through the development and lodgement of funding submissions and the completion of associated reporting requirements.- desktop publishing, including newsletters, catalogues etc.- research and develop content for exhibitions celebrating the cultural heritage of Victoria’s Indigenous peoples- liaise and manage relationships with Trust membership, including Elders and leaders of the Aboriginal communities of Victoria.I left the Trust in 2011 to pursue her interest in public health take up a position as a Communications Officer at BreastScreen Victoria.
