As the ARPA for the Arts Project Lead at the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis (RAC), I play a pivotal role in the development, management, and coordination of operations and programming with the American Rescue Plan ACT (ARPA) grant funds, which provides financial support to artists and arts organizations seeking funding opportunities. My responsibilities encompass central coordination, project management, and establishing effective communication systems to ensure RAC's compliance with City ordinances and CDA contracts. In addition, I oversee the programming and staffing of RAC's ARPA for the Arts office located in the City Foundry STL, creating/supervising operational and programming facets related to all ARPA for the Arts grantees, professional development, and events. I lead an experienced team, that assists in executing marketing, service, and programming. Furthermore, I develop, track, and manage department processes, key initiatives, and financial and organizational goals. Beyond my role at RAC, I bring additional expertise as a graphic designer and owner of T. Morgan Designs, a woman/minority-owned business offering consulting services for festivals and events, and branding services for start-ups. Throughout my 18-year career as a special events coordinator and graphic designer, I've provided project management, event coordination, and branding services for multiple organizations including Forward Through Ferguson, Community Development Corporation (Racial Equity Summit), International Institute of St. Louis (Festival of Nations), and the City of Maplewood - Let Them Eat Art. I lead my clients in creating, developing, and executing their visions. With so much inspiration surrounding me — this is where the journey to creating my life’s work begins. By combining my passion for the Arts with my passion for photography and graphic design, and tying that with a project management bow, I can assist those who consult my services to share their stories with the world. What do I tell my clients? It all begins with an idea - maybe you want to launch a business or have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story can make all the difference. Featured in several art galleries and hired as a creative designer to many, it is my goal to bring my client's ideas to fruition. The bottom line?My career is not work for me, it is my passion, and it shows through my work ethic and is confirmed by my clients and peers. I LOVE what I do and who I do it for.
