As a dedicated advocate for social justice and human rights in South Africa, I have devoted my career to advancing these causes. With a background in organisations such as Equal Education and the Healthy Living Alliance (HEALA), I have been instrumental in advocating for equitable access to quality education and progressive food policies. Notably, I played a key role in the campaign for the Health Promotion Levy, known as the Sugar Tax, which was legislated in 2017.My efforts have been recognised through various accolades, including being named the 2018 Emerging Leader in Public Health through PHILA award by the Public Health Association of South Africa; 2019 Most Influential Young South Africans by Avance Media; 2019 M&G 200 Young South Africans; Additionally, as a finalist for the 2023 40under40 South Africans. My involvement in prestigious fellowships such as the Atlantic Fellows; Common Purpose Africa Venture; Mentor Amiable Professional Society (MAPS) Young Professional Fellow; Mandela Washington Fellowship further underscores my commitment to effecting positive change.Drawing from my diverse experiences and expertise, I founded the I_Menstruate Movement, aimed at addressing period poverty and stigma in South African. My educational background includes a qualification in Public Relations Management from the University of South Africa.My other interests are in astronomy, museology and building a progressive African school which are connected to my 2030 African projects.
