As a lifestyle photographer, I specialised in family photography, spending a couple of hours with each family at an outdoor location of their choice taking natural photographs of them enjoying time together. I was also hired for various events, including children's parties and santa's grottos. As a lifestyle photographer I was able to provide a service to individuals with additional needs, as well as very young children and pets, who were ordinarily unable to access these services and attend photography studios. I edited my photos using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop and also undertook various work editing/correcting individual's and company's photos for them, as well as creating online promotional material for publicity and social media accounts.
This role involved taking responsibility for a proportion of an overal project to create and develop the Council's new website. By mangaging this part of the project I ensured that several department's were able to review and or rewrite new content for their web pages and that all deadlines were met.
The Essex Police Television Unit is responsible for making training, promotional and operational audio-visual products for use both internally and externally. They also provide operational support when required.ResponsibilitiesMy core responsibility was to produce and direct films, from which I developed many transferable skills. I was solely responsible for a production/project from script through to screen which included; researching the subject matter, creating and pitching ideas, writing scripts and publicity material. Also conducting risk assessments, organising locations, as well as hiring freelancers and additional equipment. During filming I was required to supervise staff, make decisions, and problem solve any issues that may arise. It was my responsibility to manage the budget and ensure that deadlines were met. My role also involved creating marketing and promotional material using software such as Adobe Photoshop.
