The Delhaize America name may not be recognized by most consumers, but shoppers across 18 states recognize one or more of it's 7 U.S. banners, the largest of which are Food Lion supermarkets. My job is to fill the corporate, retail and distribution staffing needs for 1600+ stores. This, in and of itself, is a huge and exciting endeavor that presented new challenges and opportunities when Delhaize integrated the independently operating U.S. subsidiaries. I worked closely with the corporate leadership team, hiring managers and HR business partners to achieve the following:* PeopleSoft eRecruit applicant tracking tool* Developed on-boarding and orientation polices/processes that reflected the Delhaize America employment brand* Supported multiple store openings - averaging 60-120 Food Lion launches each year* Managed high-volume recruiting for Bottom Dollar Food stores throughout new PA territory - 2000 new hires expected over next 2 years* Led diversity and inclusion hiring/retention initiatives that surpassed industry standards* Eliminated third-party recruiter costs ($500,000/year) by steering development of Food Lion, LLC's first in-house talent acquisition department.

Following 2004 promotion to senior position in the Strategic Staffing Department, I managed full-scale recruitment processes/programs, internships and the applicant tracking system. My proudest accomplishments and those with the biggest impact on MetLife staffing also gained industry recognition/awards. These included* Recognition in 2005 as one of DiversityInc's Top 50 Companies for Diversity* Rejuvenating and enriching the INROADS college internship program, which ranked among the Top 10 of Most Innovative Programs nationwide in 2005* Collaboration with The American College on the design and launch of an MBA Management Associate Program and Financial Fellowship Program.* Launching 2 innovative employment brand messages: "Where Life Meets Work" and "Careers in Motion."Earlier in my tenure with the company, I earned DDI Certified Facilitator credentials and delivered front-line leadership training at the corporate office. (Staffing Consultant from 2001 to 2004).When initially hired (Learning & Development Specialist from 2000 to 2001) I managed associate training at 48 sites, nationwide.

Starting as a training administrator/HR representative and transitioning in 1999 to a compensation analyst role, I began to lay the foundation for what would later develop into a career as a key supporting partner to HR. In my 3+ years with the firm I gained a broad scope of experience as a business partner to the card-member services call center, the coordinator for call-center associate training, and the compensation analyst for the Regional Consumer Bank and the Diversified Consumer Services business units (14,000 employees).
