Our mobile apps for News and Weather, combined with our "web first" initiative help us lead the market. WRCBtv.com was honored with an Edward R. Murrow Award for best website in 2014. In 2016, launched Sky3, one of the first.

I led the staff of photojournalists, imagers and graphic artists in creating and producing daily and long-form visuals for the newspaper and website. Collaborated with section editors and page designers for story development and presentation.

Led staff of photojournalists covering east Tennessee news and sports. Introduced and coached staff with multimedia (audio, video, web) and advanced visual storytelling. Implemented photo editing workflow, remote photo transmission and web-first visuals. Added photo columns with unique online components. Collaborated closely with designers for page design.

System administration and led support team for a 300-user Macintosh network, with Macintosh OS9 and OS X clients and servers; supervised and trained support desk staff, acted as resource for Tribune Company and coordinated with vendors on company-wide projects, initiatives and new technology. Project manager for company-wide Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Created, edited, produced and shot video, audio, multimedia content for print, web and broadcast; created, authored and programmed multimedia presentations and kiosks. Original team member for sun-sentinel.com and Tribune/Digital Cities initial implementation.

Managed 25-person staff covering news, sports and features over the south Florida and Caribbean region, administrated a $3.5m annual budget, teamed with page designers, section editors for both daily and project work; edited staff and wire photographs, coached photographers, handled performance evaluations and staff development. Introduced digital cameras.

Managed day-to-day photo report of national subscriber-based photo service, administrated budget, served as on-site photo editor for international, national news and sporting events. Designed and implemented digital picture desks and related networks and workflow. Worked closely with Knight-Ridder Washington Bureau developing stories and photos. Assigned.

Award-winning staff photographer and later Director of Photography for (then) K-R newspaper as part of Knight-Ridder's 25-43 Project; participated in prototyping, design, focus groups and newspaper-based laboratory for time-conscious baby-boomer readers. Managed electronic imaging, page design, served as editor for Monday edition.
