1. Instruct students on keyboarding skills through Mavis Beacon and Microtype, Introduction to Computers and the Introductory, Intermediate, and Advance Levels of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.2. Plan and update the curriculum to meet Microsoft Office Specialist standards. Upgraded the classroom Microsoft Office with new files and core certification curriculum. I created the new curriculum and exams from the new materials. 3. Track students’ progress to assess where they need assistance and help them with researching and developing their career goals in Office Technology when they are released.4. The program takes 4 to 6 months to complete where there is an annual graduation for the students who complete the class. There is a waiting list to take my class. I have graduated 59 students from this class and 42 students from my other classroom.6. Manage the classroom LAN network through troubleshooting and updating the server.7. Maintain software and hardware on the computers and troubleshoot any problems as the IT person.8. Taught GED computers skills for two years by preparing students for the GED test by covering Social Studies, Science, Literature, and Math. I developed the curriculum and assignments for each student.

Bennett Middle School

 Plan and organize nutritional based and self-esteem lessons provided through the program Organized a service learning project where the students donated materials for the Wicomico Humane Society Research current information and get materials for the lessons Incorporate technology in each lesson using IPad Teach 60 minute lesson on nutrition and incorporate food labs to expose students to healthy foods There are 65 at risk students in the program at Bennett Middle School.

 Taught and developed a curriculum for students in grades 5-12 on core subjects: English, Math, Social Studies, and Science in their home. Taught levels as high as AP level. Some of the courses taught were Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra, U.S. History, World History, American Government, Earth Science, Chemistry, Biology, and Literature. Taught students in their homes until they could return to school Planned lessons in accordance to state standards Assessed the students’ performances weekly and reported grades to their home school and the board. Worked with students with traditional and online instruction using Plato

Expertise: IT Software Technology - I instruct students on Microsoft Office Applications for Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. In the upper level course, I teach database design and utilizing decision-making applications in Excel. IT knowledge is my strongest strength and I enjoy teaching others the skills I know in software applications.

Business Development - The role of business development included coordinating marketing activities for the Savings Solutions Program that went out to 150 trade associations and their members. To support marketing efforts, I worked with the database to create queries and reports to target potential customers and reflect association activity. I developed the template for the online newsletter in 2004 and updated the website. To help potential customers contact APPI through the website, I create an information request form.

Economic Development - The greatest part of this position was helping area businesses find solutions with their everyday problems by using state and federal resources. I developed training grants for the companies that could help them in areas of upgading the skills of their workforce and adding new employees. I was the go to person for Grants Management System for help and training. I was instrumental in developing the Regional Reports where the main office incorporated two of my report templates. I created a manufacturing database for the Eastern Shore to make it easier to reach businesses in the area. When there was an event or meeting in our region, I coordinated the events. I maintained expenses assigned to the Region and compiled the quarterly report. I was involved in the POC database planning team in 2003. I helped Lower Shore Manufacturing Network Director with meetings and events.

Through MD Department of Business & Economic Development assisted the Director with coordinating meetings, taking meeting notes, updating the member directory, and taking in membership dues.

I supported the sales team by providing a health and life insurance portfolio that show the best plan options from several insurance companies. I assist clients through the underwriting process and any problems. The Life and Health licensing for the agency was coordinated through me.

Lending - I marketed real estate and consumer loans. I was always the top ten of my region in meeting the lending goals monthly. My other functions were underwriting loans, collections, recruitment, training and hiring employees. I attended and received certification from Modelnetics Management Program. I supervised the daily operations of the office including administrative, budgeting, lending, and collections.
