Began as a catalog assistant, maintaining large product database, laying out a nationally distributed sewing & quilting catalog and maintaining; was promoted to advertising coordinator, maintaining ad sales software, coordinating the efforts of a sales team of 7, coordinating 3-7 trade shows per year; was promoted to advertising account manager, sales of print & online advertising for national magazines

Responsible for all aspects of store operations, including recruiting, hiring, training, customer care, directing sales, scheduling, payroll, merchandising, and loss prevention. Met or exceeded sales goals and expectations, was rapidly promoted, and trained several team members who went on to manage other stores.

Owned and operated a quilt and craft design company, selling quilts and craft items directly through craft fairs and on consignment in shops located throughout the U.S. Also designed and created quilts and interior design components for private clients in the northeast Indiana area.
