In November 2021, I was promoted to the EH Operations Manager position. I still oversee all of our financial operations, as well as our Business Support Team. Initially, I was tasked with leading and coordinating various complex, cross-functional, organization-wide projects and initiatives, but with the dissolution of TCHD, my time in 2022 will be spent helping various programs, the division, and the overall department, with transitions.

After a year of supervising a wonderful, high-performing team, and learning the ins and outs of the Environmental Health Division at Tri-County Health Department, I was promoted to the Administrative Analyst II role. In this position, I oversaw the financial operations (including annual division budget development and analysis, annual and monthly invoicing for multiple programs, and weekly cashier functions), and had the opportunity to utilize my analytical skills more fully. I also supervised the Administrative Coordinator, and in partnership with her, managed the Environmental Health Business Support Team.During our COVID-19 response, I led a Data Entry Team (created processes and procedures to tackle backlogs of data, developed and delivered training material, ensured QA measures were followed, tracked performance metrics), and led our Letters Team (similar duties to overseeing our Data Entry Team). I accomplished this while still performing all of my regular job responsibilities.In 2021, TCHD was on the path to reaccreditation. I served as our Reaccreditation Project Assistant, and as such, created a process for document tracking and review, developed and delivered training material, drafted standard operating procedures, and ensured that the process was moving forward. In early 2022, it was decided to halt this process in light of the department’s dissolution.

In this role, my primary responsibility was to manage our Environmental Health Business Support Team. I also oversaw our monthly and annual invoicing process (and created efficiencies and new standard operating procedures), and assisted with our division's annual budgeting process. In addition, I spent a good part of the year learning about our division's various programs--how they operate, their statutory responsibilities, and learning how the Support Team could help them do their job more efficiently.

JCPH was working to achieve national accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). During my tenure with JCPH, I assisted this process by supporting their Accreditation Coordinator; I reviewed documentation in order to make sure it complied with PHAB standards, as well as provided input, research and drafting assistance with the Quality Improvement Plan, Performance Management Plan, and Strategic Plan. As part of my master's program, I successfully completed my practicum (real world experience), by assisting JCPH with their accreditation process. My time at JCPH provided a tremendous opportunity to learn more about public health as well as the functions and roles of a public health agency within our community.

I was awarded a three month internship via the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center to assist Tri-County Health Department with their Workforce Development Plan (WDP); the WDP is a requirement for public health accreditation. During this time, I assessed TCHD's workforce development needs, coordinated with the Accreditation Team and Intern Preceptor, reviewed various, internal documents (including Strategic Plan, Performance Management Plan, internal Workforce Competency Assessment results, and current workforce training plan), and conducted extensive research regarding workforce development, as well as population growth and demographics within the Tri-County area. The final result was a WDP that would provide a roadmap for effective, workforce development, as well as meet the PHAB Domain 8 requirements for accreditation.

Led the Western Global Real Estate Debt Management Solutions team at Chatham Financial Corp, including client relationship management, business development efforts, and operations. I coordinated and managed the implementation and integration of Chatham's web-based debt management software solution for Real Estate Companies, and assisted clients who wished to move their debt portfolio management from excel spreadsheets to a robust, secure and flexible web-based tool. Our clients ranged from small developers to large, traded and non-traded REITs. Several clients were NAREIT and NCREIF member companies. Prior to joining the debt management team, I led Chatham's western Defeasance operations.

I started at Newman & Associates as a Sales and Trading Assistant, and worked my way up to lead and manage a team of four consultants and one analyst. Because Defeasance, as an industry practice, was in its infancy, I was responsible for developing policies and procedures for the program and team; we eventually expanded into Canada.I organized and hosted the only industry-specific conference 3 years in a row, which included: venue negotiation, preparation of conference agenda, conference promotion, arranged speakers and obtained sponsors. My passion was directing the school plays; I loved the energy the kids brought to the stage, and I loved the logistics of bringing together a successful production. I instituted the Drama Club and we hosted the first ever dinner theatre. My second year teaching, I took a group of kids to the State Drama Competition, where we took 1st place.
