While serving 7 years as a high school social worker and coach in the Wichita Public Schools I realized my passion for social work and sports. While trying to serve the unique needs of athletes and support coaches, I was motivated to do more. This is when I found the posting for the Sports Coach Administrator with LiFEsports at OSU. It was as if my calling landed in my inbox.I am excited to be on this journey to train coaches on positive youth development and well-being. This is how I hope to give back to the athletes that taught me what they love about sports: belonging and having someone care about them. I am also a proud member of the National Alliance of Social Workers in Sports. This organization is dedicated to the mental health and overall well-being of athletes, including student athletes and the systems they operate within. I hope to continue representing ASWIS and make them proud!
