I currently work in the Northshore School District as a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with expertise in sensory integration, social-emotional and motor skill development committed to helping children become a successful student in all school environments. I am a trained and certified ASI (Ayers Sensory Integration) practitioner with almost 20 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy. My focus is on serving children ages 3-18 years of age, providing comprehensive assessment, data driven decision treatment planning and consultation using an ASI, neurodiversity affirming, and relationship based approaches. My goal is to help children organize their senses for daily use so they can learn, grow and eventually soar into a happy and productive life.

I worked as a full time employee with the Monroe School District from February 2006- June 2009, and part time from September 2014-June 2018. I worked part time as a contracted employee through Career Staff Unlimited with Monroe School District from September 2013 - May 2014 . During this time, I provided assessment and intervention services to facilitate student participation within all school environments. Adapted and modified equipment and environment to meet individual student needs. Monitored progress and outcomes through data tracking and analysis. Documented intervention and treatment plans using IEP online. Provided trainings/in-services on the topics of sensory integration, handwriting remediation, fine and gross motor skill development, and assistive technology to teachers, special education staff, and paraeducators. Supervised and evaluated OT students.

Provided occupational therapy contracting services in a variety of settings including Monroe, Mukilteo, and Everett School Districts, skilled nursing and adult day care facilities. Responsible for administering assessment and intervention services to patients of various ages and disabilities including but not limited to stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injury, mental illness, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, learning differences, Autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and Down's Syndrome.

Provided OT assessment, intervention and discharge planning services to children with various differences and challenges including developmental delay, Autism, ADHD, sensory processing, cerebral palsy, developmental coordination disorder, anxiety/depression, ODD. OCD, learning disabilities, Down's Syndrome, and other genetic disorders. Designed and executed treatment plans and evaluated and recorded progress.
