I have been a part of the DBS culture for over 17 years. As one of the largest national brokerage agencies in the United States, we’ve carved out our niche by maintaining our focus on top notch customer service. We specialize in life insurance and act as an advocate for our agents from initial case design through inforce case support. My role with DBS began in the commissions department and has evolved into management and financial functions. Through my role, I have managed a team to ensure that high quality customer service standards are being met, and have been involved in implementing and assessing Human Resources processes and procedures to ensure companywide best practices, all while ensuring that agents get the commission they expect and deserve in a timely manner. We stand by our number one goal: to make doing business easier and more profitable for our agents.My passion for numbers became apparent early in my college career when I found myself gravitating toward business courses; I realized that I belonged in a career involving the more technical aspects of calculating, computing, and analyzing. My early professional experiences solidified the fact that I made the right choice as I quickly moved into more and more challenging positions within the finance and HR arena. At DBS, as my position moved to management, I began honing in on my people skills of motivating and mentoring, but I’ve also enjoyed the technical side of Finance & HR: evaluating and implementing processes, systems, forms, and best practices. While I’ve enjoyed the challenge and change this move presented, I quickly learned finance is my passion. I've now been able to focus on the financial side of business and look for ways to continue supporting the growth of the company.Family life is an important part of my life, and I thoroughly enjoy the time spent with my husband and two young children. We’ve made it a point to become active in our community and enjoy the numerous volunteer opportunities within the community I live and the schools where my children attend. Though a numbers cruncher at heart, there’s nothing I value more than family.
