I oversee the Biochemistry PhD program and assist with recruiting efforts and marketing for the Center for Plant biology. I serve as a bridge between the graduate students and faculty to promote better lines of communication as a training program. In addition to promoting a vibrant and interactive scientific community in which the trainees feel valued and heard, the Senior Graduate Program Administrator serves as a conduit by which our trainees can convey feedback and perspectives that they might otherwise be reluctant to do with a faculty member. In addition, the Senior Graduate Program Administrator helps promote professional development activities that are intended to promote success of our students in a wide variety of science-based careers.Our biochemistry trainees study & an array of research topics such as , cancer research , drug discovery, aging disorders , gene expression. I also work with plant science faculty who research areas cover plant primary & secondary metabolism, root disease resistance, plant reproductive development and so much more.
