Assists in the strategic and programmatic direction of Ohio’s Manufacturing Assistance Programs and the Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). Establishes sub-grantee relationships with qualified organizations recruited through a formal RFP process to provide value-added manufacturing assistance services through a regionally-based system that reaches Ohio’s small and medium-sized manufacturers. Creates and manages systems and processes to continually monitor performance of all sub-grantees and ensures that they are operating in compliance with the policies, goals and objectives of both the state and federal stakeholders. Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of the regional partnerships in meeting client needs and advises the Director and Ohio Department of Development Leadership Team of actions needed to improve performance. Acts as the secondary contact with NIST MEP developing a working knowledge of and implementing the federal partner’s policy objectives, programs, fiscal requirements and performance criteria. Co-develops and submits funding renewal packet including an operating plan and other required documents. Coordinates submission of required financial and performance information. Prepares information for, travels to and participates in periodic network performance reviews conducted by the federal partner and develops actions plans to respond to performance feedback. Develops an annual budget and justification for the state and local cost share component of the Ohio MEP network in cooperation with NIST and the state. Coordinates and supports a broad manufacturing eco-system across Ohio with partners, supporters and subject matter experts. Collaborates with Development Communications Office and sub-grantee organizations to develop and implement effective outreach and marketing efforts to increase awareness and participation of manufacturers in the Ohio MEP statewide network.

Responsible for the management of programs and activities associated with federal, state, and Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) grants. Promotes industry awareness of manufacturing programs and initiatives to meet program requirements. Partners closely with representatives from the Ohio Department of Development, NIST MEP, DoD, and various other state and federal stakeholders to strengthen relationships and increase the interaction with the funding organizations. Researches and implements best practices from similar organizations. Establishes and maintains appropriate databases, systems, and processes for efficiently identifying, coordinating, and tracking activities related to projects, grants, and other customer and stakeholder relationships. Coordinates with others to ensure accuracy with invoicing, project costs, and tracking of cash and cost share program requirements. Provides training on grant programs and requirements to employees.
