I oversee the non-medical well-being of 140 residents and their quality of care while managing approximately 35 staff within the resident care department. Job functions include scheduling, training/in-services, counseling, terminating staff and leading employee recognition committee for all staff members.

I created and executed detailed calendars and staff assignments for over 200 residents across 2 buildings and 3 functional levels, resulting in increased resident participation and satisfaction and new marketing materials for resident recruitment while managing hiring, disciplinary actions and overall supervision of 3 staff members. I developed unique and highly popular on- and off-site activities to meet the mental, spiritual, physical, social, and emotional needs of residents, including group and individual arts and crafts, cooking, religious, educational, nutritional, exercise and beauty programs. I launched and nurtured an active volunteer program that brought community members of all ages and backgrounds into our home, utilizing college students, youth groups, family members, and neighbors to assist with day-to-day operations for the activities department and the facility overall. In addition, I championed the development and implementation of 2 new programs designed to create a higher quality of life for our residents, one involving fitness and health while the other involved the powerful and therapeutic practices of music.
