Following a restructure of the Operational HR team, established a team of HR Case Management professionals, developing the team to deliver a commercially-focused Centre of Excellence, ensuring expedient and effective case resolution and that risk was managed appropriately. Contributed to the management of corporate employee relations, supporting the Head of Employee Relations in ensuring that the Company’s interests were protected through legal compliance, effective employee relations and a strategic approach to risk management. .Joint Secretary for the Company Collective union forum.Key achievements:• Established and managed a new team of HR Case Managers to provide a high-quality and well-respected Case Management service, with 99% of managers using the service either ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’. • Played a leading role in supporting the business to reduce sickness absence from approx. 10 days per person per annum to less than 5, providing an overall saving in excess of £2 million and returning 20,000 working days to the business.• Managed the development and implementation of a Case Management Database, enabling easier capture of, and access to, team data and better reporting functionality.• Advised on complex and/or sensitive cases to ensure a customer-focused outcome. • Project-managed the re-tender process for a supplier of absence monitoring services, implementing a new system and saving the Company £22,000 per annum against the previous provider, yet gaining an improved service with greater visibility of data.• Coached team members to manage the employment tribunal process when applicable, ensuring minimal risk and coached witnesses to ensure they were prepared and confident to give evidence.• Led and supported the Case Management team to re-design an in-house line management development course to improve organisational capability on ER issues.
