Built Human Resources Department where the function was previously out sourced. Facilitated addition of 500 employees at 70 apartment communities in 7 states over 9 months following a merger. Currently support 800 employees in 10 states with a staff of three. Report to the General Counsel. Act as a business partner and advisor for all Human Resource requirements and people needs (i.e. compliance, performance management, HR metrics and staff training/development)

Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing and placement for salaried/management and technical positions for Corporate Office and fifteen satellite locations. Manage and coordinate employee relations programs including progressive discipline, the employee grievance process, and related Human Resources policy development and compliance. Assign compensation for new hires, transfers and promotions, conduct training classes for managers and supervisors on legal compliance and performance management.

Responsible for all recruiting, screening and placement of employees in Corporate Office and Distribution Center. Handled discipline cases and employee relation’s cases for 2000 office, distribution and retail store employees. Developed and instructed new hire orientation, assigned compensation rates for all new hires, promotions and transfers. Coordinated relocation process for senior staff and executives. Managed and conducted employee activities.

Located on-site at a local manufacturing company. Responsible for placement in five facilities. Recruited qualified applicants, conducted job fairs, interviewed and evaluated prospective employees, developed and retained employees, instructed new hire orientation, monitored quality placements by executing background investigations and conducting employees counseling/reviews, directed onsite check in of new employees, managed staff of two in branch, handled workers compensation and unemployment cases, prepared payroll and worked with client supervisors on a daily basis
