I began my career working with homeless individuals and families, focusing on veterans, people with mental health diagnoses, and those who were living with, or recovering from substance/alcohol abuse. My passion is advocating for underserved populations, and I strongly believe that basic needs are a human right that should be accessible to every person regardless of their current condition or set of circumstances. In my previous management roles, I have overseen program expansion, program startup and accreditation initiatives. My roles also included budget development, stakeholder management, and serving on strategic planning advisory boards. Those roles allowed me to witness firsthand the benefits of community organization and cohesiveness when working toward the goal of ending homelessness. I valued being able to contribute to community efforts to end homelessness and improve community-wide systems and processes. That is what led to my career shift into consulting and project management. I endeavor to continue my career with organizations that do meaningful work by helping improve upon their systems and processes while building on the knowledge and experience I've gained thus far.
