Senior Buyer
CurrentEstablish relationships, and maintain rapport with vendors and merchandisers constantly trying to secure the best prices for merchandise purchased - Order inventory, supplies, for all departments - Generate and submit purchase orders in accordance with sales orders - Confirm all orders and delivery on a daily basis; this includes reconciling shipments, short and back ordered products, taking care of damaged products delivered - Provide assistance to sales reps and managers regarding inventory and purchase orders; for example, cancellations, changes to the orders and express deliveries - Answer calls from vendors, sales reps and company employees on a daily basis- Attend meetings with vendors on any changes to products as well any issues with vendors- Run Buckets to prepare for daily ordering and then order buckets (can expand on)- Clerical duties, sort through faxes- Check stock levels in 3 warehouses - Contact suppliers for pricing and delivery- Cut purchase order sign and fax to supplier- Run expired purchase order report once all 5 stores are ordered- Contact suppliers to get updated delivery dates - End of day; fax all orders back to sales reps at different office locations- Distribute orders to sales staff in the location I work in.
