  ALF is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing access to justice for Alabama residents by providing opportunities, funding, resources, education, and public awareness.⌨ Learn more about ALF at: www.alabamalawfoundation.org I was tasked with establishing and directing Alabama’s Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program; a program to pool funds held in trust accounts with the objective of maximizing interest returns generated and employing the funds to provide civil legal services to low-income Alabama residents.I provided financial oversight and strategic direction for all aspects of program operations, managed and administered a $1M budget, worked with Finance and Grant Committee members to ensure the organization is fiscally sound, and represented and conveyed the mission, values, and activities of ALF to a variety of constituencies.I also directed key aspects of the organization’s activities, including: Finance, Administration, HR, Communications, and Grant Development.Among my accomplishments, I have:➥ Increased annual revenues from zero to $1.6M.➥ Made financial awards totaling over $23M.➥ Established SOPs to simplify and streamline the fund collection process.➥ Spearheaded the transition from paper documents to a digitized environment.➥ Established a robust performance analysis framework to ensure the optimal use of program resources.➥ Served as Subject Matter Expert to the Finance Committee, providing key insights on a range of financial matters including cash flow, money pools, and funding.➥ Built and trained an agile team of internal and outsourced staff.➥ Turned around a decline in funding by developing innovative programs such as the Fellows Program that generated new funding sources.➥ Established a vision for the continued growth of the program, shaping long-term strategies that align with the organization's vision and driving growth through fundraising, joint initiatives, and legislative advocacy.
