I joined Weidmann Whiteley initially in the role of Company Accountant, with the understanding that I would train with the present Financial Controller to take over the role when he retires. My initial responsibility was managing the project to install SAP software to replace the existing software that was obsolete and create the new reporting processes required with the software. I was also required to train the current Accounts Assistant to be able to manage the day to day function of the Finance function and to train under the existing Financial Controller to take over his role. The crossover to Financial Controller began in June 2021 and I joined the Senior Management team at the beginning of 2022.Role included:• Running the SAP software to produce monthly accounts• Monthly stock and inventory calculation• Preparation and maintenance of product costing files• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting to Swiss Head Office• Preparation of monthly management reporting and presentation of financial information• Detailed cashflow forecasting in multi currencies• Monthly HMRC tax returns and duty deferment reporting • Insurance scheme administration• Leading the annual budget process and bi-annual forecasting• Manage the year-end financial reporting. As a valued and member of the Finance team, my role has enabled me to gain exposure to a variety of tasks within Tenet. I have generally worked independently supporting both the Directly Authorised sector of Tenet as well as the Pension division, contributing to the growth of these areas including creating processes and reporting for the Auto Enrolment brand with a variety of pricing models, and accurate reporting. I support a large number of internal managers and directors with cost centre reporting, analysing variances to budget and forecast. This includes the Regulatory area, which accounts for more than half of the company employees and business functions. I am responsible for tracking actual costs versus plan.I produce a number of consolidated reports once all the management accounts have being finalised including KPI analysis and headcount numbers and cost analysis including commentary to be included within the board pack.

Managed a team of 30 administrators, who were responsible for reconciling the cashbooks and nominal accounts for a number of high street building societies and preparing month end data packs (basic trial balances, balance sheets and income statements and general analysis) as well as preparing year end data and audit information. My team were responsible for 12 clients and over 100 accounts. I was involved in a number of projects including securitisations, new client take ons and client exits (including one which involved training staff in Chennai, India) and portfolio trades.

Managed a team of 5 people with the responsibility of releasing and sending mortgage funds out to solicitors. I worked very closely with New Lending managers to set up a 'pre-fundin system' which allowed funds to be reserved and pre-worked to ensure that funds were released as early as possible. This also allowed me to work closely with the Treasury team in reserving and moving funds to the correct account at the appropriate time.
