Cedar Rapids Community School District summer school program. Typically teach 1st grade, did on summer of 3rd grade for students who have not achieved grade level skills in math and reading.

I support the building as needed each school year. In 2022 that was through an ESSER Funded position teaching 1-5 math interventions and kinder social groups. In other years my position has been more classroom support, particularly in special education, or covering classrooms as needed.

Kids on Course after school tutoring program. Work with students grades 1st-5th grade to enhance math and reading skills.

State Representative for Iowa House District 79 (formally HD70) which encompasses a section of the west side of Cedar Rapids. I report in Des Moines at the Capitol during legislative session (January-April) each year and then am back in my House District for the remainder of the year. Tracy Ehlert is an award-winning Early Childhood Educator and Advocate. She owns and operates B2K Learning Center & Consulting. For 13 years, B2K Learning Center operated as a State Registered Child Development Home that had earned NAFCC Accreditation and a 5 out of 5 on the States Quality Rating System (QRS), while also offering coaching, mentoring, training, and consulting services on early care and education topics at a local, state, and national level. As the Preschool Room Child Care Coordinator at Young Parents Network, I am in charge of lesson plans for each session and making sure we have literacy activities planned, I help with performing developmental assessments on the children, am responsible for the volunteers in my classroom (give them assignments for the night) and I oversee the group of preschool kids as a whole.

As an NAFCC accredited provider, I was eligible to become a NAFCC Accreditation Ambassador to help other providers who have expressed interest in becoming NAFCC Accredited. I am there to answer questions and help them through the NAFCC Accreditation Application process.

My duties include sharing my personal experience with TLLCCF as a 2015 National Child Care Teacher Award winner and encouraging others to submit applications to the program.

The QRS Oversight Team is a small workgroup that provides expertise and a commitment to strengthening the QRS for all child care providers. The work can range from making recommendations on changes that are needed to the criteria, identifying strategies to increase participation, developing or revising the QRS forms, determining needed marketing or messaging information, etc.

I provide crisis care for Linn County. Children are placed in my care for up to 72 hours due to emergency situations.

Support the building by being an internal onsite substation for the building. Took on a kindergarten classroom due to an unexpected vacancy one of these years and provided support as a long term substitute in 2nd grade another school year.

Develop and teach Child Development/Early Childhood Education Related curriculum for Adult Continuing Education Classes.

As a member, I am asked to give general advice on the formation of the Alliance as it relatesto its structure and governance. This may include reviewing guiding principles and other documents, fee structure, outreach strategies, sustainability plan, the structure of the long-term advisory committee, etc...
