How did I get from genetics to Data Analysis? I loved science and maths at school, and pursued these through university as an undergraduate and postgraduate. Having completed my doctorate I realised that it was the being immersed in information, and analysing it that I really enjoyed; finding patterns and investigating them, applying problem solving and logic. So now, that is what I do for a living. I work for a small company, analysing data and mining information. I enjoy the challenges and find it rewarding. I work with a range of data including Sage accounts data and website traffic information. I work with Microsoft SQL Server, and have a good handle on T-SQL. I'm also fully conversant with MS Office.
