The Youth Migration Project is a research project that seeks to understand the experiences of forced migrant youth by giving voice to young peoples' experiences to inform positive policy change.

The Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect is a non-profit, non-partisan research and advocacy organisation on the Responsibility to Protect, which is a global commitment made at the UN World Summit in 2005 to protect populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. As a research and policy intern, I drafted a report on issues affecting women and children in Syria, identified gaps in funding for programs supporting children and youth in Syria, compiled an annotated bibliography on the political history and current socioeconomic status of Myanmar, and drafted research summaries to educate Canadians on the Responsibility to Protect principle in Afghanistan.

The Malaysian Social Research Institute is an non-profit organisation dedicated to servicing minority refugee populations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It offers key services including healthcare, education, social services and livelihood support. In this role, I primarily assisted the Education Manager in the day to day running of the primary and secondary school. I worked with teachers to identify challenges completing the curriculum, collected data to inform a healthy eating program at the school, facilitated an extra curricular art program, helped design and facilitate a hygiene and wellness workshop for female youth and helped organise field trips and events. I also assisted with the English for Speakers of Other Languages program by holding a weekly conversational English class.
