Develop data-driven operational strategies, proposals and budgets for new clinical trial opportunities (RFPs) within GI, Hepatology (NASH), and Cell and Gene Therapy; train proposed study teams and present strategy in bid defenses. Lead/contribute to strategic planning for respective Centers of Excellence, developing pipelines and sales presentations. Lead innovation development utilizing technology to accelerate patient recruitment and improve data quality. Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational delivery utilizing Lean Sigma techniques.

As a member of IQVIA's Biosimilars Center of Excellence, led initiatives to build expertise and grow business; tailored approach to feasibility and patient recruitment; built our global site network and BiosimilarsKnowledgeConnect.com, a content-rich website to educate and promote participation in clinical trials. Presented in site forums, including SCRC's Site Solutions Summit and webinar.Led a cross-functional team to deliver eConsent solutions and served as the CRO Forum’s eConsent Workgroup Liaison to Transcelerate BioPharma. Recognized for “Ingenuity in Support of the Business” for biosimilar initiatives in 2015 and contributed to two peer-reviewed articles regarding operational challenges related to biosimilar trials.

Role transitioned to Site & Patient Networks when the Global Biosimilars Unit became the Biosimilars Center of Excellence in 2015.

As a subject matter expert in patient recruitment and retention, I developed strategies for new clinical trial opportunities - in collaboration with our medical and operational experts - and presented them to customers during bid defenses. In 2013, I contributed to a significant increase in our department's hit/strike rate and grew revenues 30% from the previous year. I was recognized by nine “Work Worth Doing” awards for new business efforts. Specializing in diabetes, I moderated a customer webinar and published a white paper in best practices in recruitment and retention for Quintiles Diabetes Center of Excellence. I contributed to a survey conducted by Quintiles to understand the factors that influence a parent’s decision to permit their child to participate in a pediatric study. Results were presented at the 2014 American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference & Exhibition.

Managed the development of patient recruitment and retention programs for global clinical trials – including study branding, site toolkits, and digital and traditional advertising – and presented them at investigator meetings. Developed strategies for new opportunities, writing proposals, preparing budgets, and sharing them with customers at bid defenses. Designed proprietary tools to collect regulatory and site intelligence for use of recruitment tools in >70 countries.

Designed educational programs for physicians, developed proposals, and "pitched" new opportunities to pharmaceutical companies to obtain grants. Directed a team of program managers, overseeing the development of live and enduring continuing medical education (CME) activities with internationally renowned physician faculty. (Scienta was awarded ACCME Accreditation with Commendation.)

Directed operations for the National Respiratory Training Center (NRTC) - an international nonprofit organization that trained nurses and respiratory therapists to manage patients with respiratory disease. Reported to the CEO in England. Managed staff of 4 employees and >20 freelance trainers across the United States. Delivered >30 certified educational activities each year, funded by grants obtained from pharmaceutical and governmental supporters. Played an active role in local healthcare initiatives and led the development of a robust website and communications plan.

Managed the development of medical education with internationally renowned physician faculty. Continuing medical education (CME) included symposia at national medical conferences, interactive online activities, and journal articles. Promotional activities included national/regional advisory boards and speakers bureaus.

Reported to the Director of Medical Staff Operations. Led a multi-year pain and palliative care initiative across the health system. Managed “special projects” including outsourcing of non-clinical services, operationalizing international consultations via telemedicine, and introducing TeleHealth to share education with remote affiliates. Hosted international diplomats seeking information regarding Western healthcare operations.
