Reporting to the Executive Director; responsible for overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of employment, settlement and training programs at all JobStart locations with a focus on youth, newcomers, persons with disabilities and employers. Provide leadership in external relations, growth and innovation of programs and services, financial accountability and maximizing contract budgets. Accountable to develop policies and procedures, oversee client service delivery standards and quality assurance measures and develop effective relations with funders (Provincial, Federal & United Way) to ensure ongoing financial support. Implement and oversee new programs. In collaboration with the Directors and Management Team, develop short and long-term strategic goals and service delivery plans that are responsive to client and community needs according to the strategic direction and value statements set by the Board of Directors.

• Provided leadership for employment services including supervision of staff, scheduling and planning, budgeting, monitoring, directing and coordinating overall programming and services. • Experience managing programs; Employment Ontario, Youth Employment Fund, Canada Ontario Jobs Grant, Summer Jobs Service, Job Connect, The LBS (Literacy & Basic Skills) partnership, CAP - Community Access Program, ERC (Employment Resource Centre)• Experience designing internal systems and establishing partnerships to provide dynamic career services to achieve employment success. • Assisted in the planning and coordinating of activities designed to promote JobStart, funders and specific programs and services, to employers and key stakeholders in the community.

- Forecast and controlled the SJS wage subsidy to achieve placement targets- Recruited, recommended and trainined summer job coaches- Completed necessary case management and service statistical documents as per agency and funder requirements.- Marketed to outside community agencies and employers and students to stimulte referrals

- Assisted clients with barriers to employment; provided individual counselling in pre-employment areas to assist clients with skills that helped them find and maintain employments- Developed and implemented realistic plans of action with each client- Assisted guidance departments in local high schools with student services - focusing on employment.- Participated in various outreach activities and events to increase public awareness of agency's services.- Researched, developed and facilitated employability skills and pre-employment workshops.
