Plans, directs and supervises all aspects of the business conducted by the Authority. Actively involved in development projects, including initial planning, agreement negotiations and on-going monitoring of performance. Utilizes strong knowledge of the development process including financing strategies, the political process and consensus building with various stakeholders to implement the Authority’s strategic goals. Building upon strong relationships with City Funding Agency, manages and supervises all aspects of the Housing Department of the Authority. Responsible for developing and fostering relationships with key City personnel, including the Mayor’s Office, City Council, Planning, Revenue and Community Development departments. Represents the Authority in presentations to a variety of audiences. Responsible for managing and supervising senior staff.

Performed a variety of professional duties related to the administration of all Housing and Redevelopment programs of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority. Responsible for the financial and budgetary management of the Authority, the design, maintenance and control of automated processing systems, and other budgetary functions assigned by the Executive Director. Oversaw the administration, coordination, marketing and supervision of a variety of housing programs involving the rehabilitation of single-family residences in the City of Denver.

Developed and prepared the annual operating budget for approval by Executive Director and Board of Commissioners; administered the approved budget and budget control program and reviewed income and expenditures; prepared budget performance analyses. Maintained the Authority’s accounting policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting standards; maintained accounting records according to established procedures. Prepared monthly financial statements and management reports; submitted monthly vouchers for contract draws; monitored all cash receipts and disbursements; maintained payroll records and administered payroll reporting requirements. Coordinated and managed the annual audit of the Agency’s financial statements. Participated as a member of management team to facilitate improvements in agency practices and procedures.
