I took those words to heart, followed her lead, and just completed my doctorate in counseling psychology. Tracy, thank you for being an inspiration, a guide, a mentor, but mostly a daily example of what applied counseling and leadership looks like in action. I owe you a great debt for your steady encouragement of my goals. Despite the field in which you specialize (Tracy managed the IT department back in the day!), if you've the good fortune of either being supervised directly, shaped by, or simply rubbing elbows with one who implements all the qualities of a highly developed, person-centered leader, who puts theory into practice in the most complex problem solving scenarios, or mundane interactions, count yourself among the lucky...and the few. Tracy meets each crisis and/or supervisee where they are in their development process, with a calm, considered response and always has the "right" answer. If you've that good fortune, to watch excellence in action, consider yourself truly privileged. I know I do. Stacey L.
