Receive and review building applications from customers; assess scope of project and relevant permit requirements; educate customers regarding necessary permits and general code compliance of proposed projects. Verify that projects have obtained all necessary approvals; verify professional and contractor licensing. Calculate and verify valuations and fees; accept payments; issue permits as authorized. Maintain records and prepare reports as required. Assist in completing permit applications by explaining building permit requirements; assist and advice the general public in matters relating to building requirements and status of submitted projects. Track plan check applications from submission until approval; route plan checks to appropriate personnel. Log inspection requests and prepare field files for daily inspection for building inspections. Prepare Certificate of Occupancy as required. Assist building inspectors in coordinating inspection requests; perform clerical duties for building inspectors. coordinates, and issues all permit for the massage inspection program, responding to public inquiries regarding permit application matters; providing information and answers questions from the public at the office counter and on the telephone; Updates and maintains permit records and files in the automated tracking system; researches information and provides general information to the public. Maintains positive working relationships with co-workers and the public, supports teamwork, and performs other related duties such as preforming inspections on massage establishments to ensure all health and safety regulations are followed and all permits, license and certificates are current and displayed.

I inspect potential apartments or houses and do annual inspections for section 8 participants to ensure the homes are up to HQS standard.

Participated in activities, resident meetings, or inspections relating to both Tax Credit and HUD etc. as required by the needs of the property to maintain compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies and build a sense of community. Conducting unit inspections by going into the unit and listing deficiencies, to ensure the safety of the potential residents. Maintains congenial relationships with all residents, while adhering to Fair Housing, Equal Employment and Equal Housing Opportunity requirements. Processing all recertification’s, interims, move-ins, move-outs, work order and P.O. input, while working directly with all vendors, and attorneys. Ensures all site staff responds to all resident requests or complaints in a timely manner.

Complete annual recertification’s and interim requests for pubic housing and section 8 tenants, determine eligibility of public housing applicants. Conducting unit inspections by going into the unit and listing deficiencies, to ensure the safety of the potential resident, and reporting the findings back to the maintenance manager for repairs. Maintain client records as required by HUD policy, review and discuss with clients, as necessary discrepancies, omission of data or incorrect data. Maintain a good rapport with tenants. Maintaining the current waiting list, receive and processed rents, enforce 14 day notices for outstanding rents due. Create and follow up on maintenance work orders, working closely with the Housing Authority to ensure all section 8 residents are complying by HUD ruling.
