Tracy Taylor-Smith is an author and Chief Executive Officer for Taylor Smith Consulting, LLC. As the owner of the firm, she directs all operational and contract services for the company. With offices located in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Texas and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Taylor Smith Consulting is an award winning full service staffing, training, and management consulting firm that is committed to helping emerging and established companies gain greater operational efficiencies and increased customer and public satisfaction levels. In 2020, Tracy published her first book titled, “Shift On Purpose” which shares a part of her journey to becoming a business owner and a platform for encouragement to anyone who desires to improve their life. In 2021, Tracy was named one of the top 30 Influential Women in Houston and in 2013 Tracy was named one of the Top 50 Black Business Professionals in Houston, TX. She is also a 2009 Houston Minority Supplier Development Council E-10 Award Winner and a 2008 Pinnacle Award Finalist. In 2017, her firm earned the Safety of Excellence mark from the National Safety Council. With a background of over 20 years of experience in public administration, transportation, customer service, contract services, and management; Tracy holds degrees in Computer Science Technology (AS), Business Management (BS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a certificate in Project Management. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
