My family owned and operated an AKC registered kennel caring for 16 Alaskan Malamutes when I was young. I have been immersed in animal care and handling since I was 10 years old.I have worked in veterinary medical settings for 8 years from getting my foot in the door in St. Louis in 1995 in an administrative capacity. In 2002 it become my profession of choice and I have gradually added more assistant veterinary technician skillls and experience to my resume & life. I worked in dog & cat facilities for 3 years and then in 2005, switched to feline only care where I stayed for 7 years. I am now working at Canby's (Oregon) newest, state-of-the-art mixed animal practice, Mountain View Veterinary Hospital.My goals are to provide knowledgeable care and experience to pet owners in regards to their pets needs. Anyone can feed an animal, change a litterbox or take a dog for a walk. I'm more tuned in to the small nuances that come with companion animals - amount of water intake, dietary changes, medication needs/changes and overall behavior indicators that an animal isn't feeling well.Specialties: In home petsitting - experienced in the care of small domestic companion animals including cats, dogs, small rodents and reptiles. Feeding, medicating, cleaning duties associated with pets. Skilled in oral, transdermal, subcutaneous injectable medication administration.
