Fingerprint subjects in custody who have been charged with indictable criminal offences, process latent fingerprints and make identifications based on prints.

Monitor CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) Special Interest Police messages and liaise between external police agencies and internal investigators to ensure information sharing. Respond via phone, email, CPIC message and CAD(Computer aided dispatch) to inquiries.• Monitor CAD and add relevant information to calls for service in real time. Complete work ups for individuals under investigation using a variety of investigative resources, including but not limited to: Sentry, CPIC, JOIN, ORCA, PIP, local municipal records, open source records and Vital statistics.

Provide information via radio, telephone and CPIC messages to field units, courts and other agencies. Add, modify and maintain entries on CPIC including warrants, release documents and other court documents. Process court warrant recall lists and execute warrants for officers.Verify and correct historical entries on CPIC

Take in applications for Police Information Checks and Pardon/Record Suspension Local Records Checks at the counter. Do Vulnerable Sector Fingerprinting on LiveScan Machines as well as rolled ink prints• Check local, provincial and National criminal databases for any relevant criminal records• Handle information and records with the appropriate freedom of information and privacy act regulations. Manage high security information with discretion and care for security breaches.• Manage and escalate files that deal with mental health relevancies and other records which a criminal charge may not have been laid but are considered a potential risk to public safety.
