Strategy planning and BD in Global Video and Audio Industry

Responsible for strategic planning and commercial business development of WMG China

- Established core relationship networks across broadcast and OTT ecosystems, forming deep partnerships with content creators, post houses, operators, and other professionals and thought leaders in content production and distribution in Greater China.- Created the strategic plan for Dolby Content Relations in China; identified most impactful content companies, defined the value add for partners though technical solutions, distribution platforms, and co-marketing opportunities for premium content.- Developed business with top content creators in China, including international studios (Warner Brothers, Sony, FOX, Disney), local Studios (CFG, Bona, HY, Bro, Wanda, Beijing Culture, Sparkle Roll …), TV Stations (ZJTV, HNTV, Dragon TV, BTV …), OTT original production teams (iQiyi, Youku, Tencent, Mango TV, CIBN, SMG), and Media companies (BBC, NGC, Discovery).  Supervised the creation of variety shows, movies, TV dramas, and documentaries in Dolby Atmos home and Dolby Vision HDR formats. Collaborated on top-rated Variety shows , top-rated BAT dramas and dozens of top box office domestic movies.- Consulted with platform Operators Tencent, iQiyi, Youku-Alibaba, BesTV, SiTV, and others on content acquisition and materials delivery to help them expand their Dolby format content pools. - Championed training for Dolby partners who collaborate with the industry to promote Dolby initiatives. Designed and executed “Champions Training” to certify dozens of key mixers from major TV stations. - Collaborated with cross functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Legal, Finance) to design and execute production, marketing, and training plans related to content enablement and industry relations.

- Responsible for International program sales and affiliate channel sales under Viacom, including MTV, Nickelodeon, SPIKE, BET, and others.- Achieved new record for broadcasting sales revenue in 2012 for sales growth of 150% in 10 months.- Built market presence with strategic broadcaster and content aggregator partners by expanding content genres from kids and music to reality shows – BESTV, WASU, China Broadcasting and Television Media (Tianhua), CCTV. - Developed new content distribution channels with broadcasters (GDTV, Jiajia Cartoon, and others) and aggregators (Hubu Media, Wings Media, and others)

- Business development and strategic planning for VOD channel delivery for Chinese cable operators.- Broad collaboration with key Chinese cable operators.

- Drafted commercial plan for DTV guide channel and gained follow-on operating experience.- Performed marketing promotion for China First HD channel (CCTV-HD). - Led sales training across cable operator and OEM partners.
