Responsible for overseeing a budget of approximately $85 million combining roughly 80 federal, state, and local funding sources to serve high risk populations in the communities of Kern, San Joaquin, and San Bernardino. Provides oversight for CAPK's Finance, Human Resources, and Operations departments.

Responsible for the complete oversight of the Fiscal Department. Responsible for budget development, monitoring, attendance, compliance, interim reports, and general fiscal oversight for a school district with approximately 18,500 enrollment, 18 elementary sites, 5 junior high schools, and 1 opportunity school. Responsible for accounting for COP debt and outstanding Bond debt. Additionally involved in school construction, deferred maintenance, and other capital outlay. Directly responsible for the preparation of financial statements and achieved the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting for fiscal years 2015‐16 and 2016‐17.

Responsible for the supervision of the business department to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Additionally, responsible for attendance accounting, review and approval of general ledger activity, and the review and approval of all requisitions.

Responsible for purchasing, contracts, fixed assets and accounts receivable for Kern County Superintendent of Schools. Additionally, responsible for budget development, monitoring, and maintenance for 60 different funding sources with a $76 million budget to include FCMAT, SISC, CSIS, Schools Legal Services, Valley Oaks Charter School, Facilities, Maintenance and Operations, and Special Education Transportation. Additionally, responsible for the review and approval of all budget transfers and cash transfers for the office.
