When I was a wee undergrad studying Psychology, I had no idea that my career would weave its way through the educational landscape the way it did, starting with my first full-time job in, surprise, educational publishing. If I had only known then, that my fortuitous break at Creative Publications would send me on a magical journey through contract administration at Sage Publications, into my first classroom in Los Angeles Unified School District, and back again to educational publishing through the lens of marketing this time affording me my longest tenure to date at the Center for the Collaborative Classroom, I would not have believed a word of it.Hold on. You might see a pattern developing. The next stop on my educational tour led me to my only cultural institution, the California Academy of Sciences. Lest you think I stepped too far away from either education or publishing, fear not. At The Academy, as we call it, I had the pleasure of marketing some amazing digital resources for teachers and representing the museum at various educational events for educators, resulting in an explosion of science curriculum in the educational field. Yep, I did that! Since this last stop on my education passport, I have felt the pullback to the classroom and a return to my former career, teaching. I find myself transporting back to my late-90s self and, once again, exploring what I have to offer in the classroom.I have no idea where this current path will take me, but I am enjoying the ride.
