I graduated with honors on May 29th, 2010 from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where I learned necessary principles in electronics and circuits, physics, biomedical instrumentation, signals and systems, and medical imaging. In addition to my coursework, I was able to apply this knowledge directly through a 3 year design experience, where I served as Associate Project Manager of a 6 person team of multi-disciplinary engineers. Through this industry-simulated project, I had the opportunity to perform market research to develop specifications according to customer requirements, use acquisition systems to collect large physiological datasets for algorithm development and testing, integrate device subsystems, and test prototype performance against set specifications. In addition, I developed strong technical communication skills and performed necessary administrative duties by writing several critical subsystems design reports, device service and user manuals, and was responsible for updating the Device History Record to document past and ongoing design progress.Specialties: •Solve problems at the interface of biology and engineering through coursework in medical instrumentation, electronics, mechanics, signal processing, imaging, and control systems•High proficiency with Minitab Statistical Software, MATLAB (Simulink), Multisim Circuit Design, Atmel AVR Studio, Altera-VHDL Design, & Microsoft Office•IRB certified•Engineering logbook documentation expertise•Design and conduct experiments to measure, analyze, and interpret data involving living and non-living systems

Technical Support AnalystMerge Healthcare Aug 2010 - Present•Fulfilled a self-directed role to provide administrative and technical support for Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archive Communication Systems (PACS).•Sound understanding of clinical workflow and DICOM and HL-7 standards to support system interfaces.•Worked closely with healthcare IT, radiologists, technologists, and various modality vendors to troubleshoot technical and operational issues through remote connections.•Assessed complex problems, collected data, established facts, and documented detailed information about issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolution.•Performed preventative maintenance, applied software hot fixes, submitted design enhancement requests, and reported system defects to ensure system stability.•Ability to multitask and prioritize support assignments with a high level of responsiveness to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability.•Highly effective technical communication skills with clients, team members, and other organizations. -
Associate Project Manger Of Biomedical Engineering Design TeamMsoe Aug 2007 - May 2010MULTI-YEAR DESIGN PROJECT OBJECTIVE •My team has designed an alarm clock system that monitors sleeping users’ electroencephalograms (EEGs) and wakes them during the optimal sleep stage within a specified time interval. The intent of the device is to maximize users’ alertness upon waking by minimizing the grogginess associated with sleep inertia.PERSONAL CONTRIBUTIONS•Technical engineering design tasks included literature and market research to establish customer needs and develop performance specifications, collecting sleep EEG data sets for use in algorithm development and device testing, applying challenging digital signal processing techniques to construct sleep spectrograms, analyzing spectral power ratios of EEG frequency bands to identify sleep stages, headset housing design, integrating component subsystems, and prototype testing against specifications to analyze performance. •Wrote extensive technical documents including critical subsystem design reports, service manuals, user manuals, device history records (3 vol.), technical PowerPoint presentations, and oral laboratory reports. -
