Originally contracted to Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI, a Coca-Cola Franchise). ABI then acquired by SABMiller. The position transferred to SABMiller and included the responsibility for both SAB and ABI Primary Distribution. Forecast, budget, P&L. S&OP meetings. Primary Distribution planning and schedule execution to all ABI distribution centres. Relationships with transport contractors and contract compliance. Management of the control room staff and environment. Project coordination to implementation temporary warehousing to accommodate peak period volume.

Responsible for establishing the CargoWare logistics software business unit, under the CargoSolutions division of Cargo Carriers, enabling the further expansion of Cargo Carriers services from transport carrier to 3PL provider. Forecast, budget and P&L responsibilities. EXCO team responsible for organisational strategy. Product and services portfolio selection. Technical and customer support staff organisation. Establishing processes and procedures for an entirely new business unit. Strategic partnership management. New business development and co-ordination of response to tenders.

Organised consulting teams, consisting of two or more consultants. Organised clients into industry sectors and assigned teams to specific industry sectors, creating centres of consulting expertise, and peace of mind for clients. Responsible for divisional forecast,budget, income statement, debtors and profit target. Changed revenue strategy from mainly new system implementations to target 60% improvement projects from existing clients and 40% new business which was achieved. Increased profits over 100% from 500K to 1100K in one year. Clients included Unitrans, Lazer Transport, Bowler Metcalf, Blastrite, Hamilton Brush, APL Cartons, HTG Funerals, BP Rams, Numill, Hymax, Two-a-Day, Distell, amongst others. Developed a "Rapid Implementation Methodology" to shorten implementation project time requirements. Recruitment, team building, skills development, and performance evaluation of consulting team. Introduced mandatory requirement for all consultants without CPIM, to attend the SAPICS Principles course to improve their skill by applying the knowldge to their ERP implementations.

APICS CPIM Certified. Consultant implementing ERP systems. Knowledge and understanding across purchasing, inventory, manufacturing (MRP, MPS, etc..) and sales modules, as well as financial modules (Drs, Crs and GL) required. Began teaching APICS CPIM courses part-time and discovered the joy of transferring knowledge to empower individuals. Quantum Systems Integrators was acquired by Q-Data Consulting.

Began APICS CPIM certification at my own initiative. Also responsible for maintenance of the LAN and WAN networks on a Unix based OS, using ICL equipment with UPS.
