Grio is a software consulting firm located in San Francisco, specializing in end-to-end web and mobile app creation. Collaborating with Bay Area startups and global brands for over 15 years, Grio combines expert strategy, creative design, and leading-edge engineering to create exceptional software.At Grio devs are client-facing, and rotate projects. Projects normally run about 3 - 6 months in length, but I've been on projects for as long as a year and a half, and for as short as a week.Most frequently I worked with React Native, Rails, React, TypeScript, and AngularJS. Edelman Digital is the digital arm of the world's largest independently owned public relations firm. Surprisingly, much of social media analytics is still highly manual work. I wrote Python scripts that made pulling, cleaning, and analyzing social media data easier. This saved my agency both time and money, but perhaps most importantly, it preserved my teammates' sanity. Several of my scripts led to new research offerings for our department. As the West Coast Data Science and New Tech lead, I collaborated across offices to build out Edelman’s internal analytics products, using Python, R, SQL, and JS. It was also my responsibility to identify other ways programming could benefit the Analytics team, from data storage to data visualization. Clients: PayPal, SolarCity and Hewlett-Packard

At Edelman I worked both directly with clients and also internally with our account & creative teams to measure and optimize the success of our digital marketing campaigns. Beyond regular client reporting, I worked on new business pitches and ad hoc reporting, including crisis work. I launched the "Analyst Office Hours" program, where I taught PR & Digital account teams social media analytics tips and tricks to improve their workflow (Excel, Radian6, statistics, etc.).
