She has served as president and chief executive officer of the Texas Economic Development Corporation and TexasOne, an independently funded and operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to marketing the state globally for business attraction, retention, and foreign direct investment.Before that, Tracye was Founding CEO of Choose New Jersey, one of a few economic development organizations in the country wholly funded through private sources. While there, she shaped the state’s brand for economic development marketing as well as its business retention and recruitment strategies. Tracye was also one of the founding creators of Opportunity Houston at the Greater Houston Partnership where she served in the role of Executive Vice President and COO.Tracye is a widely recognized strategist with C-Suite level experience in all facets of the organizational development, corporate engagement, economic development, and the travel marketing industry. The mission of the Environmental Management Advisory Board (EMAB) is to provide independent and external advice, information and recommendations to the Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management (EM) on corporate issues relating to accelerated site cleanup and risk reduction.The board works to identify applicable private and public sector best management practices and provides counsel on how to integrate them into the EM program. The board works with the private sector to identify barriers to the effective execution of the Assistant Secretary’s program objectives and facilitates discussions between the department, private industry and the public for knowledge sharing. Lastly, EMAB provides strategic management advice on where and how to focus the program’s resources to achieve maximum impact and greatest risk reduction.EMAB’s activities are governed by the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), which was enacted to ensure that the general public has access to advisory board deliberations and recommendations. The membership of EMAB includes individuals from governmental and non-governmental entities, private industry and scientific and academic communities.

Regional Sustainable Development Fellowship - American Chamber of Commerce Executives Regional Action Projects Program. With the generous support of the Ford Foundation and assistance from Alliance of Regional Sustainability, the Regional Sustainable Development Fellowship completed the three year educational program. The Fellowship provided hands-on training, peer knowledge exchange, research and examination of working models on a wide-range of sustainability issues, such as: infrastructure, land use, environmental stewardship, social inclusion, workforce development, and education. Participants left with a deeper understanding of regional thinking, strategies and opportunities.As part of this unique and exclusive 12-month program, fellows must complete a Regional Action Project. McDaniel's project focused on corporation engagement and fundraising.
