A RN who implements enhancements to long-standing programs and policies, I developed quality improvement measures at one facility that included implementing policy to manage the MRSA virus as well as convincing administrators to implement Electronic Health Record (EHR) and eMARS as healthcare best practices. In order to enhance the breadth of nursing students’ education at Montana State, I partnered the program with a treatment facility where I was Nursing Supervisor. I also train student nurses as a Nursing Preceptor, and have managed students, nursing staff and administrative personnel in a variety of facilities, as well as providing hands-on patient care. Arguably the best example of my ability to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes across agendas that were seemingly at odds was when I overcame local civic groups’ objections to establishing a facility in their town by establishing collaborative service delivery among ancillary local businesses, resulting in a win-win outcome. My expertise includes coordination of home health care services for assisted living and long-term care outpatients where I add value by implementing program enhancements.
