In 2001, after a fulfilling nine years in the banking industry, I transitioned—somewhat unexpectedly—into the nonprofit sector. What began as a chance opportunity quickly evolved into a lifelong passion. I've discovered my niche in nonprofit work, partnering with organizations that shape the world around us and truly make a difference.During the pandemic, I was honored to help RVA nonprofits secure over $6.5 million in government relief funding. This experience deepened my commitment to supporting organizations that serve our communities when it matters most.In fall of 2022, I was asked to join the wonderful, caring team at the Masonic Home of Virginia. MAHOVA was founded by the Freemasons of Virginia in 1890. It began as an orphanage caring for children. In the 1960s it shifted to caring for seniors both on-site and in communities throughout the state.Their mission of ethical leadership and making the world a better place deeply resonates with me. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this historic community and contribute to their meaningful work.Previously, I truly enjoyed over ten years with Virginia Repertory Theatre, as the Controller from 2008-2015 and most recently, was asked back in 2019 to the newly-created Associate Managing Director position. I spent 2016 -2019 with Richmond Ballet, another fabulous arts organization in the city. As the daughter of an artist, I have always cherished my connection to the arts and remain committed to supporting Richmond's vibrant cultural scene.Over the years, my work with RVA’s nonprofits has fueled my passion for leadership roles that bridge vision with fiscal responsibility. Nonprofit organizations thrive when their bold, transformative missions are paired with sound financial stewardship.
