Out & About with Kids is a family travel publication. I was brought in to develop both a digital content and social media strategy to increase unique user figures on the OAWK website. I helped create a new-look-and-feel website focusing on quality family travel content, design, browsing techniques and user engagement. HIGHTLIGHTS: Developed a database of ‘mummy travel bloggers’ and fed the site with real-life family travel stories. Launched the Out & About with Kids facebook page, which has since been extremely successful.

An online community and reviews site launched by British Airways that links venue reviews in New York to those in London. Metrotwin provides expert recommendations of the best places in both cities and extends the idea of ‘town twinning’ to the level of restaurants, bars, shops, neighborhoods, etc. The website is aimed at people living in or traveling between the two cities and enables users to explore the best stuff that NY and London have to offer. Users can review and rate places, suggest twins, create their own maps and lists of places they like.

Itchy London (and associated city sites) are lifestyle websites similar to TimeOut. I was the Online Editor of 16 of these websites across various cities in the UK. I commissioned and regulated the workload of a huge volume of external freelance employees and the in-house editorial team. I implemented new SEO techniques by initiating user-generated content, email capture and demographically targeted competitions and features – all while ensuring the frank and fun tone that readers engaged with was not lost.
