About Tracy Macdonald

As Executive Producer of Arts and Culture at Rhode Island PBS, I oversee our arts and culture content across platforms. Arts and culture = the heartbeat of humanity. My role is to listen to that heartbeat with care, and amplify it through public media. Community connection is key. Storytelling opens the door. Arts and culture content should invite curiosity and spark conversation. When we share stories, we grow community. When we grow community, we expand impact. I specialize in making existing content better and building the next right thing.Whatever the content or platform, my favorite stories to support are the ones that might otherwise slip through the cracks, instead opening the door to greater visibility, engagement, and impact.
